Find your path to peace and well-being

Compassionate and effective psychological therapy in a supportive and empathic environment.

A Foundation of Experience

I’m Dr. Jess Edelstein — a Licensed Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist with more than 26 years of experience supporting children, teenagers, adults, and families.

My career began on the front lines of the public schools, where I developed a deep, firsthand understanding of the academic, social, and emotional challenges that families face every day.

Today, I bring that experience into my private practice, helping clients manage anxiety, improve communication, and find greater balance at home and at work.

Personalized Therapy for Every Stage of Life

My practice offers individual therapy, family counseling, and mindfulness-based stress reduction tailored to each person’s needs.

Families

Helping families navigate the challenges of school, social pressures, and family stressors to find more harmony and connection at home.

Teenagers & Young Adults

Partnering with them to build confidence, manage anxiety, and find a clear path toward a more satisfying and productive life.

Men & Women

Creating a space to overcome the stigma surrounding mental health, explore what it really means to be strong, and build a life of purpose and emotional honesty.

Mature Adults

Providing a steady hand to help them navigate life’s transitions, rediscover their purpose, and move forward with clarity. I provide personalized, evidence-based therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns and life challenges, helping you move from struggling to thriving.

Calm, Practical, and Evidence-Based Therapy

My work combines traditional talk therapy with guided mindfulness exercises and meditation practices that help clients reduce reactivity, manage anxiety, and cultivate presence.

The goal isn’t to “fix” you — it’s to help you relate to your thoughts and emotions with more compassion and control, building a steady foundation for long-term mental health.

Your First Therapy Session

Our first conversation is a calm, 50-minute session where we explore what brings you here, what’s worked or hasn’t, and what you hope to change.

We’ll set a small, achievable goal and decide on a pace that feels comfortable — whether that’s weekly or biweekly sessions, in person or through secure telehealth.

Specialized Treatment for Anxiety, Depression, ADHD & Life Transitions

Whether you’re dealing with overwhelming stress or just feeling “off,” therapy can help you regain clarity and calm.

I provide evidence-based, mindfulness-informed therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns, including:

Anxiety & Panic

Do you feel constantly on edge, worried about the future, or experience sudden, overwhelming panic? We work together to identify the triggers and use mindfulness-based tools to regulate your nervous system, helping you find a reliable sense of inner calm.

Depression

If low energy, lack of motivation, and persistent feelings of sadness are weighing you down, we can help you regain momentum. Our focus is on restoring hope, challenging negative thought patterns, and developing positive behavioral habits to help you reconnect with joy and purpose.

ADHD (Adults & Adolescents)

Difficulty with focus, organization, time management, and follow-through can feel incredibly frustrating. We move beyond simple coping strategies to create personalized systems, improve executive function, and build self-compassion for managing daily life.

Bipolar Disorder

Living with the cycles of Bipolar Disorder requires careful, collaborative management. I offer support in tracking mood shifts, developing effective distress tolerance skills, and ensuring stability so you can maintain fulfilling relationships and career goals.

I came in feeling stuck and constantly on edge, like my thoughts were running me. Jess helped me slow down, understand where that pressure came from, and find a way to breathe again. He listens without judgment and somehow makes everything feel lighter.

I didn’t think therapy was for people like me. I thought I just had to tough it out. But Jess made it feel normal — even smart — to look at what was underneath. Our conversations helped me show up differently at work and at home. It’s been life-changing in quiet ways.

ClientStamford

Jess created a space where my daughter finally felt heard. She came out of every session more grounded and more herself. As a parent, it’s been incredible to see her confidence and calm grow again.

ParentWestport

After retiring and losing my partner, I felt unmoored. Jess helped me rediscover who I am beyond what I’ve done or lost. His calm presence made it safe to talk about things I hadn’t said out loud in years.
